Sehatnews – The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 in-ear headphones are getting new firmware, which you can access via the Smart Control companion app for Android and iOS. With updates, new features are introduced. For example, the in-ears are now ready for Bluetooth Multipoint. This allows you to switch immediately between two paired devices.
The new update for the Momentum True Wireless 3 also brings a new high-resolution sound mode that enables 24-bit depth and a sampling rate of 96 kilohertz. By connecting to an audio source that must also use aptX Adaptive as a codec, the mode increases the Bluetooth bit rate to up to 420 kilobits per second. In environments where the wireless connection is challenged by high levels of interfering frequencies (such as on public transport), the Momentum True Wireless 3 can use the codec’s data scaling to continuously adjust the quality of the connection. Users can enable high-resolution sound mode via the Smart Control app.
Bluetooth multipoint and high-resolution sound mode come with the latest firmware (2.10.19 or later), which can be installed via update via Smart Control (App Store, Google Play Store, 4.1.5 or later). The update also includes background improvements to the Momentum True Wireless 3’s Bluetooth connectivity and touch-based control features.
